How can I make a recording?
Launch Recorder Pro.
Tap the red button with a plus sign at the bottom of the screen to start recording.
To stop a recording, tap the Pause button at the bottom control panel of the screen.
NOTE: To Resume a paused recording, tap the Record button.
To make a new recording, you can also tap a plus sign in the top right corner of the Studio screen.
When making a recording on iPod Touch 2Gen, you need a compatible external microphone.
The start and end of the recording process has a beep that can be switched off in the Settings section.

How can I change the recording name?
On the All Recordings List screen tap the right arrow in front of the recording you need to change. The Studio screen opens.
Tap the recording name. The keyboard is activated.
Make the changes you need and tap the Done button on the keyboard.

How can I copy recordings to a computer?
Connect your iPhone / iPod Ttouch to your computer using USB cable.
Open iTunes 9.1 or later.
Select your iPhone in the Devices section of iTunes.
Click the Apps tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Under the File Sharing section select Recorder Pro in the apps list. Files associated with Recorder Pro on your iPhone will be displayed.
Choose the recordings you need to copy and select the Save to button.
NOTE: If you don’t see the File Sharing section, make sure that you have iOS 4.0 and iTunes version is 9.1 or later.
IMPORTANT: Do not delete files directly though iTunes, it can interfere with Recorder Pro correct functioning.

How can I copy recordings from my computer to iPhone/iPod Touch?
Connect your iPhone / iPod Touch to your computer using USB cable.
Open iTunes 9.1 or later.
Select your iPhone in the Devices section of iTunes.
Click the Apps tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Select Sync Apps.
Under the File Sharing section select Recorder Pro in the apps list. Files associated with Recorder Pro on your iPhone will be displayed.
Click the Add button.
Select the files you need to add and click Open. The files will appear in the list.
Pull the list of recordings to refresh it on your iPhone.
NOTE: You can add files in formats supported by Recorder Pro (AIFF, WAV, CAF, AIFC). The files can also be deleted directly through iTunes.

How can I import the recordings from Free version to Pro version?
To import the recordings from Free version to Pro version, you need to copy the target files to your computer and afterwards copy them from your computer to Pro version using iTunes File Sharing.

How can I adjust the recording sound?
Since the internal microphone is low sensitive and iPhone doesn’t enable to adjust the recording volume, we recommend to change the distance between the phone and the sound source thus changing the volume level.
You can also use an external microphone. External microphones must be designed to work with the iPhone headset jack or Dock Connector, such as Apple-branded earbuds or authorized third-party accessories marked with the Apple ‘Works with iPhone’ logo.

What are the alternative ways of recordings transfer to a computer?
There are several ways of copying your files to a computer:
Wi-Fi transfer;
send files as an e-mail attachment;
send a link to your files by e-mail.

How can I transfer files to my computer using Wi-Fi?
Prior to transferring files set up a Wi-Fi connection and make sure that your computer and your phone are in the same Wi-Fi network.
To start transferring, tap the synchronization button (two round arrows icon). If the synchronization is successful, a message with IP address appears. (In case ‘Not connected to Wi-Fi network’ message appears on the screen during the synchronization, check the connection settings and try again.)
Enter the IP address into the web browser on your computer (Sometimes the browser can’t find the address. In this case use Safari or FireFox browser). A list with your recordings appears on the screen.
NOTE: If you use Safari browser, click the Show all bookmarks button (open book icon), then select the Bonjour section. Double-click your device in the main part of the screen.
Click the Download button (Control+left click for Mac).
NOTE: To specify a download folder, right-click the recording name in the list and select Save as.

How can I send files as a link?
Tap the right arrow button next to the target recording on the Recordings List screen. The Studio screen opens.
Tap the Send button on the control panel. A pop-up appears.
Select Upload and Email link. The file is uploaded to our server where it is available for 10 days. An e-mail with the link to this file opens.
Specify the address you need to send the link to.
To download the file, left-click or right-click the link in your e-mail client (The result may vary according to OS and software installed).
To save the recording to a computer, right-click the link and specify the folder.

How can I send files as an attachment?
Tap the right arrow button next to the target recording on the Recordings List screen. The Studio screen opens.
Tap the Send button on the bottom control panel. A pop-up appears.
Select Send via Email attachment. An e-mail with the attached file opens.
Specify the address you need to send the e-mail to.
NOTE: Most mail services have attachment size limitation of 10 Mb.
Some e-mail clients enable to playback the attached recording immediately while others may request to save the recording prior to play it.

How can I move a recording to a folder?
Open the list of recordings to select from.
Tap the right arrow button next to the target recording on the Recordings List screen. The Studio screen opens.
Tap the folder icon. The Categories screen opens.
Select the category you want to move the recording into. The recording will be added moved to the selected category.

What is the recording format?
Recorder Pro supports AIFF, WAV, CAF and AIFC file formats. AIFF and WAV are non-compressed files, while CAF and AIFC use IMA4 codec and compress file size 4 times. AIFC and CAF file types have identical size and differ only in player programs which support them.
Format and sample rate of the recording can be specified on the Settings screen.

How can I play the recordings on my computer?
To play recordings on your computer, please, install any of free players listed below and you’ll have no problems with all formats:

How many recordings can I make?
The recordings amount and length are limited only by your iPhone available space.

What is auto pause used for?
Auto pause is used to avoid silent gaps during recording. It enables to make the recording compact and save your disk space. To activate auto pause, tap the Auto pause button on the Studio screen.
The auto pause threshold can be specified in the application settings.

What is level metering?
Level metering is a feature used only to show the sound level during the recording. Level metering is represented as a red indicator at the bottom of the Studio screen.

How can I use Emoji?

Open Settings > General > Keyboard > International Keyboards > Add New Keyboard… > Emoji.
Return to Recorder Pro.
Start editing the recording or folder name.
Tap the globe icon on the keyboard. If you have only two types of keyboards selected (common and Emoji), you’ll be switched to Emoji keyboard at once. Otherwise you will have to tap the globe several times.
To return to the common keyboard, tap the globe once again.
